Exterior shading is one of the most effective interventions available for managing solar gain, glare, and outdoor comfort. Placed on the outside of the glass rather than behind it, an external awning intercepts solar radiation before it reaches the interior — reducing indoor temperatures, protecting furnishings from UV, and extending the comfortable use of south and west-facing spaces. The MS Design shading range covers three principal product families: the arm awning for open-span projection over terraces and glazed facades, the drop awning for vertical sun and privacy screening at doors and windows, and the Click Zip for fully guided perimeter coverage that holds its position in wind conditions that would defeat a standard awning.
